I am so excited to be introducing a new series on the site – Week of Outfits – featuring girls from around the world who dress *exceptionally* well and boast closets filled with secondhand gems and sustainable designers. Our first guest is none other than the fabulous Nicole, who you may remember came thrifting with me not so long ago! Earlier this year, Nicole launched Elan Styling Cle, a personal styling and shopping service in Cleveland that focuses on sustainable fashion. She offers a variety of packages based on what you feel your closet needs, but her most popular ones combine her incredible styling skills with her sharp-eye for thrifting.
For example, Package 3: Closet Haul, Style & Thrift, gives you a full-circle experience of her going through your closet and helping you purge. Then, she will style 10-20 outfits with you before taking you to a local thrift store to find pieces to elevate your existing wardrobe. For those who are not in Cleveland, don’t stress, she also offers a virtual styling session. Honestly, her business is genius and provides a truly valuable service. I have a couple of friends who have already used her services and can’t believe the new light in which they see their closet. One friend, who had never stepped foot into a thrift store before, now keeps asking me when we can go. Nicole really knows what she is doing!
Anyway, I hope you enjoying seeing the sustainable looks that Nicole styled up for this Week In Outfits.
Let us know in the comments what is your favorite outfit!
Monday
Trench Coat: Her Grandfather’s
“I always try to add a little spunk or a bold statement to every outfit I wear. This particular outfit was for a more business professional setting. However, I still wanted to add my personality to it, so I went with a colorful yet earthy sock for a subtle yet unique statement.”
Tuesday
“I have three kiddos, but that doesn’t stop me from expressing myself through my clothes. Even when I’m with them, whether that’s playing outside or doing crafts, I want them to know that getting dressed is an expression of self and a part of being a creative person. I have fun with my clothes, even if it’s a funky pair of denim. Make the simple, fun!”
Wednesday
“If it’s Made in the USA (like this suit), I get it! The quality of the pieces is better. Facts! Not to mention, it is also 100% silk. It’s a statement. All it needed was a casual shoe to dress it down. I wore this for a more professional setting, but I would also wear this for a night out or any CLE event. It’s an easy and bold look.”
THURSDAY
“An oversized sweater dress is an easy statement piece. So I didn’t feel the need to add much more to this actual outfit. However, it’s always fun to add an extra statement to another part of the outfit if you are bold enough! So, for me, glittery socks were a no-brainer!”

FRIDAY

SATURDAY
“This is the same as Friday’s look but dressed up for a fun night out! I kept the same outfit and just switched out the accessories. For me, as a Mom of 3, it’s way easier for me to switch up the accessories and add a lip color for a night out. Don’t stress out about having to change your outfit for a night look completely. Keep it simple and just add a little pop of color or a bold statement bag!”
SUNDAY
Okay, I’m obsessed with this and Nikki! Can’t wait to see more from this series! 🙂
